About Our Story
Meron Gallery, inaugurated in September 2023, is situated in the heart of Cluj Napoca, occupying parts of the ground floor of the historic Blau Ullmann Palace. Built-in 1910, this former Hungarian palace is a remarkable example of early 20th-century architecture.
The gallery space boasts high ceilings and expansive windows, creating a bright, open atmosphere that complements the art displayed. Originally a roastery for Meron coffee shops, the space has been transformed, retaining a small specialty coffee bar where visitors can enjoy some of the finest coffees while appreciating the art.
The design
of the gallery preserves the historical essence of the building, maintaining the original ceiling as much as possible. The Meron Gallery showcases works from highly talented artists, primarily focusing on paintings, with occasional exhibitions of sculptures and photography. We aim to make art accessible and inviting to the public, offering a welcoming environment where visitors can explore exceptional art and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Crina Ciocian
With a rich and diverse background in organizing B2B events across a range of fields including e-commerce, HR, marketing, architecture, and design, Crina Ciocian brings a unique and insightful perspective to art curation. Over the past 15 years, she has cultivated a profound understanding of various industries, allowing the development of valuable connections and networks that benefit both artists and art collectors.
Crina’s passion for art has been a lifelong journey. She seeks out galleries and museums, continuously enriching their knowledge and appreciation for art. As a self-taught art enthusiast, Crina is constantly discovering new and significant aspects of the art world and its creators.
In addition to their role as a gallery owner, Crina Ciocian is also a co-founder of Meron, Romania’s largest specialty coffee chain. This venture has further refined her skills in brand development and market leadership.
Deeply committed to promoting the work of talented artists and assisting art collectors in finding the perfect pieces, Crina provides a supportive and enriching environment for both artists and buyers. Their experience and dedication ensure the fostering of a thriving artistic community. Guided by instinct and data, she is also maintaining a close relationship with UAD university teachers and artists for consultation. This collaboration helps ensure the best decisions are made in curating and promoting art.

MERON GALLERY ARTIST GUIDE
Accepted Art Categories
We welcome artists from all artistic disciplines, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, contemporary abstract installations, digital art, and new media. Our focus is on talent and quality, without imposing restrictions based on artistic style.
Selection Criteria
Each submission is carefully evaluated based on criteria such as the quality and emotional resonance of the works, the originality of the artistic style, and previous exhibition experience. Artists are invited to submit a small portfolio and details about themselves and their artistic style via email at artgallery@meron.coffee. The selection process might take up to 20 days after submitting the request.
Exhibition Duration
Each artist/exhibition will enjoy a display period of 20 to 35 days, determined based on the nature of the exhibition, the artist’s preferences, and availability.
